Frequently Asked Questions
Why are NBR gaskets chosen for oil or fuel systems?
Nitrile rubber (NBR) offers excellent resistance to mineral oils, fuels and greases thanks to the acrylonitrile content of the polymer. It is the standard choice for gaskets permanently exposed to petroleum products.
Do NBR gaskets withstand outdoor use or ozone exposure?
Prolonged exposure to ozone, UV or weathering is not recommended — NBR has poor resistance to these factors. For outdoor applications we recommend EPDM gaskets.
What information should I send for an NBR gasket quote?
The technical drawing (.dwg, .pdf, .stp) or a physical sample, plus the application specifications: working temperature, type of oil/fuel, pressure and required hardness. We prepare the technical quote based on these.
Can you produce a single NBR gasket or only in series?
We produce both one-off replacement parts, from 1 piece, and small, medium or large series, with a declaration of conformity included at delivery.
